Winemaking Weekends are a great deal of fun and take place in an idyllic setting among vineyards and mountain nature reserve just an hour from Cape Town.

Participants will be involved in the de-stemming/crushing of grapes, the pressing of fermented wine and white grapes, fermentation, and barreling. Traditional equipment is used - basket press and movement by hand and small pumps.

There will also be tasting of wines from the area, as well as Dragonridge wines from previous years.

Fynbos Mountain Retreat Guest House offers comfortable accommodation with country food prepared from fresh produce.

Costs: R1250 per person sharing, R1350 not sharing. This includes two nights accommodation, two breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and morning and afternoon teas with snacks. Drinks are not included.
