The fun of the fair is back in Constantia in 2007, when the Constantia Fair returns to the area after an absence of almost 20 years…
From 1 February 2007 the Constantia Sports Complex will be a hive of excitement with The Funtime amusement park providing some exciting mechanical rides for all ages and the conveners are busy signing up an assortment of traditional foodstalls, gaming stalls, arts and crafts as well as informal traders. The entertainment stage will present some of the top entertainers on the Cape Town scene and a traditional Beer Garden is also planned to quench the thirst of all the expected fair visitors. A tea garden under palms and soothing music is planned for the not too daring while the kids are enjoying themselves on the Quad Bike track or a casual Pony Ride. Some of the highlights include a Ms Constantia Beauty Pageant, a Glamourous Granny, and a Karaoke Contest with some catchy prizes for the singing hopefuls. The event is open to all sporting bodies, schools, crèches, welfare and recreational clubs who want to raise funds with whatever service they wish to offer or sell. Constantia Fair
