The annual Christmas lunch with the family is a meal where we can really spoil ourselves and enjoy a truly special gastronomic treat – just like what the team at Cape Point’s Two Oceans Restaurant is set to serve up this year.
Christmas Lunch in Cape Town in 2008 is getting closer by the day, and of course there are many options for you to choose from.
The reason our choice for you is Christmas Lunch at Cape Point is that the Two Oceans Restaurant not only serves up great food, it also has a unique and awe-inspiring location.
The staff at the Two Oceans Restaurant always seems to have something special up their sleeves, and this year is not going to be an exception.
Menu for 2008 Christmas Lunch at Two Oceans Restaurant:
Starters: Cured Norwegian salmon with ginger crème fraiche, baby mixed greens, dill vinaigrette and salmon roe; OR, chilled tomato gazpacho served with sour dough croute; OR, Gorgonzola and asparagus pannacotta with ruby segments and a citrus dressing.
Main Course: Turkey roulade with orange and sage stuffing served with vegetables of the season, cranberry jus, and parsley potatoes; OR, Herb crusted rack of lamb served with dauphine potatoes, petite ratatouille nicoise and mint, thyme jus; OR, grilled line fish served with saffron mash, slow roasted plum tomatoes,
mango salsa and a verjuice, citrus butter.
Vegetarian option: Aubergine parmigiana - layers of aubergine, napolitana sauce and grana padano topped with arugula and shaved parmigiano.
Dessert: Five-layer trifle pudding served with a mint and choc wafer; OR, white chocolate and strawberry pannacotta served with a mixed berry compote. And, of course, Christmas crackers!
By the way, the Two Ocean’s Restaurant was the 2008 Spanish Wild Bull Trophy Winner of the 33rd International Award for the Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry, so you’re certainly in capable hands when you dine here.
