Afro-jazz guitarist and composer Max Vidima mixes Zulu and Zimbabwean musical traditions on 4 February.

Max Vidima has performed locally and internationally with guitar greats Simba Morri, Jimmy Dludlu and Selaelo Selota. He holds a Masters degree in Musicology and has written a book on African guitar styles. His own trademark style is a fusion of the maskandi and mbaqanga music of his mother's Zulu heritage with the electric mbira tradition of his father's Zimbabwe.
