The time has come, Cape Town rockers! World-class band Thirty (30) Seconds to Mars will be returning to South Africa for a third time to put on two concerts: one in Cape Town and one in Johannesburg. Capetonians fans can finally look out for the trio’s arrival and can count on hearing tunes from their latest album at the GrandWest Arena on Sunday, 23 November 2014.
Featuring Jared Leto on lead vocals/guitar, Shannon Leto on drums and Tomo Milicevic on guitar, the band has been touring the world since the release of their 2013 album, Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams, and thanks to their affinity for South Africa, loyal fans can now have fun in the mosh pit while listening to live renditions of numbers like , ‘City of Angels‘ and ‘Up in The Air‘. Fans that last saw the energetic performers in 2008 can also look forward to hearing numbers from the 2009 album, This Is War, and subsequent hits like ‘Kings and Queens‘ and the hit title track,‘This Is War‘.
Of course, it also goes without saying that die-hard fans can once again get amped to hear those top 10 hits from the 2005 hit album, A Beautiful Lie, and can plan on singing their hearts out to classic Thirty Seconds tunes like, ‘The Kill‘, ‘From Yesterday‘ and ‘Attack‘.
For those not in the know, Thirty Seconds to Mars have sold over 15 million albums worldwide and have been viewed over 100 million times on YouTube. These rockers hav won numerous awards, including an MTV Music Video Award, multiple MTV EMAs, MTV Latin, Asia and Australia Awards, a Fuse Award and a handful of Kerrang! Awards.
In the midst of their success, the trio have played over 500 shows around the world and have graced the stages of countless big festivals, including Lollapalooza in the US, Download in the UK, Germany’s Rock Am Ring, Japan‘s Summer Sonic and South Africa’s My Coke Fest in 2008, where the response from the fans was nothing less than incredible!
Thirty Seconds will be supported by local band Beatenberg, who have achieved success with pop-tastic hits, like‘Chelsea Blakemore‘ and ‘Rafael‘, and a collabaration with local hotshot DJ Clock, ‘Pluto (Remember You)‘, which became a staple on local radio stations.

Tickets are available online at Computicket.com and from Computicket outlets. Entry ranges from R310p/p to R510p/p depending on seating choice. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.
