The seaside town of Wilderness lies 15 km east of George, between the Kaaimans River & the Goukamma Nature Reserve.

Wilderness is famous for its splendid pristine beaches and its rugged coastlines. Apart from that, you can explore the lagoon or Touw River Estuary and the Serpentine. These are very popular amongst for instance water skiers.

Activities include hiking, mountain biking, bird and whale watching, hang gliding, horseback riding, angling, boating & more. Or go to the viewpoints Map of Africa and Dolphin's Point, which is a great spot from where to see whales & dolphins. Kaaimans River Bridge is a much photographed spot, especially when the steam train Outeniqua Choo-Choo crosses it.

In other words: Wilderness is a world on its own. Ready to be explored.
