St Yves, a Camps Bays gem gets a polish
...the epitome of summer in the gorgeous Mother City
The recently revamped St Yves is a hot spot for all things hedonistic. It also happens to be the best place to be when it’s hot. Situated on Camps Bay’s golden mile it beckons at the ‘slicker than your average’ with cocktails, canapés and all the (delusions of) grandeur attached thereto. It’s a place where the city flaunts the finer things in her repertoire – the scenery and the company – in equal measures.
St Yves is flanked by a spacious balcony that takes advantage of what must surely be the Atlantic Seaboard’s good side. This money shot of a backdrop, with its azure waters and white sands, is... well bang on the money when it comes to being the ideal location for sundowners. It’s the model cocktail spot in Cape Town, in more ways than one.
This popular beach club (and its location) is to many a Capetonian and tourist alike, the epitome of summer in the gorgeous Mother City. It’s also the place to see and be seen during the endless summer.
The fun definitely doesn’t stop when the sun goes down and St Yves has made a name for itself for hosting incredible events and being the go-to party playground for the who’s who of the Cape Town zoo.
The crowd may be as cliquey as an accappella outfit, but it’s nothing a cocktail or two can’t break through. The dress code is beach chic and if there’s no effort there’s no entrance. Trust me it’s worth the effort ... so are the ladies.
