It's been just 11 months since The Showroom opened its glass doors, and seating demand has proved that the restaurant certainly has what it takes when it comes to pleasing the critical local and international dining public.

Bruce Robertson's relentless operating schedule coinciding with ‘hush-hush' new restaurant ventures, has demanded the need for another highly-skilled chef to stand alongside him in theshowroom's kitchen. ‘Phil has the same philosophy when it comes to uncompromising standards. he has been grounded in the classics, whereas, I push ‘out-the box',' quips Bruce. ‘His passion for cooking, speed and attention to detail are critical to our philosophy at The Showroom.'

Phil Alcock's discipline has been grounded under the guidance of two of the world's most notorious 3-star Michelin chefs, including ‘enfant terrible', Marco-Pierre White, at quo vadis and the classical master, raymond blanc, at petit blanc brasserie in the UK. Phil will be familiar to locals following his great success as the executive chef of the Relais & Chateaux Cellars Hohenort Hotel ‘Greenhouse' restaurant in early 2000.
