Real estate and property along the Garden Route is booming. One of the current property hotspots is Mossel Bay.


Since 1995 the area around Mossel Bay, part of the Garden Route, developed into a prime domestic and international tourism destination.

According to Pam Golding Properties, properties have seen exceptional growth with vacant land in Dana Bay that 10 years ago sold for R17 000 (±2 000 euro) now selling in excess of R350 000 (±30 000 euro).

Similarly, in 1998, PGP Mossel Bay sold the first residential property to achieve in excess of R1 million. This property is currently on the market for more than R7 million.

One of South Africa's biggest real estate agents Pam Golding stated that some apartments in Diaz Beach were recently sold for over R4 million (±500 000 euro). This area has seen some 1 400 new apartment units launched into the marketplace over the past two years, and further apartment buildings are planned.
