Camps Bay South Africa's priciest suburb for Real Estate
Buying a house in Cape Town's top end suburb still in demand by (foreign) home buyers

suburb of Camps Bay saw average house prices surge by 56% over the past year to R7m in March 2008, up from an average sales value of R4.48m in March 2007.

That places Camps Bay as SA's most expensive suburb in SAPTG's monthly top 10 survey of highest average sales value achieved.

SAPTG's data, which is sourced from the Deeds Office, applies only to property transfers of up to R20m.

The survey is divided between...

Still Confidence in Cape Town City Centre with New Hotel Investment
New hotel investment in city centre of Cape Town another example of continued hotel industry growth

Pre-2010 investment in hotels and other infrastructure in and around Cape Town’s Central City, can only boost the area’s residential sector.

So says Mick Joyce, regional MD for Pam Golding Properties, following the news of yet another hotel planned for the CBD area – this one an ”Express by Holiday Inn”, a brand owned by the prestigious InterContinental Hotels Group.

The new Cape Town hotel is planned for St George’s Mall and will have a 161-room capacity. It brings to at least six the number of new hotels in the planning stages or already under construction in the Central City and surrounding areas such as Green Point and Sea Point.
