Ready for take-off: CapeTownMagazine.com launched!
CapeTownMagazine.com has officially launched. One of the highlights of this great day, were the culinary creations of chef MK
A first online magazine on Cape Town, CapeTownMagazine.com has been officially launched on Friday October 14 2005 in Plus Coffee on Bree Street.

One of the highlights of the day was the start of
the exposition on the personification of CapeTownMagazine.com; Molo. The expo comprises 56 pieces of the nine different, brightly coloured canvasses of this Molo, different for every South African province.

Molo personifies the aim of the site: to have a (first) 'friend' in South Africa. He shows overseas visitors what they usually don't read about South Africa in their newspapers: positive news on good developments in South Africa

Foreign media usually work from a 'bad news' perspective. Molo on the other hand gives you the other, less known side of South Africa. Not to promote or to ignore certain developments, but to show people that there is great stuff happening in this amazing country.

Molo also provides one with mind tickling, interesting and necessary information about South Africa.

The exposition on canvas around Molo opened at Plus Coffee on 160 Bree Street Friday October 14 at 17h30, and remains open until 17 November. A limited edition of 56 of the different canvas prints is on sale for galleries, restautrants or private individuals. Over half of this limited edition was sold on the informal launch of CapeTownMagazine.com

A second highlight of the launch of CapeTownMagazine.com were the culinary creations of Chef 'MK'. Seeing and tasting his fingerfoods and snacks makes it hard to believe that this extremely talented young man not so long ago roamed the streets of Cape Town. Through the MyLife, a project to help street children in cape Town, MK left the streets.

With the help
of MyLife MK discovered his passion for food and cooking. With the help of MyLife, he ended up in kitchens of different restaurants in Cape Town including Madame Zingara.

The sky was the limit for MK,
as this year he made his dream come true. What that was? Please click here For more on MK's creations, click here.

Now Open: Madame Zingara Cape Town
Madame Zingara's Theatre of Dreams in Cape Town is open from 1 March
