Miriam Makeba to perform at Cape Town International Jazz Festival
Miriam Makeba will perform at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, previously the North Sea Jazz Festival Cape Town.
The organization of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, previously the North Sea Jazz Festival, disclosed the first names of the artists that will perform during Africa's greatest Jazz festival that will be held between 13 March 2006 and 1 April 2006. One ofn the is African diva Miriam Makeba.

It will be the third performance of Mama Africa at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival. Other highlights will surely be Chucho Valdés Quartet featuring Mayra Caridad Valdés, Tina Schouw and Friends, Freddy Cole, and Louie Vega and his Elements of Life LIVE featuring Blaze.

The 2006 festival, held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, will feature 40 acts, split equally between the African and International contingents. There will be five venues, around the Convention Centre. Like the previous years, a free concert will be organized on Green market Square.
