Nelson Mandela comic book series launched
The first instalment of a comic series covering the life of Nelson Mandela was launched.
The first instalment of a comic series covering the life of Nelson Mandela was launched.

"You know you are really famous the day you have become a comic character," the former president said to much laughter at the launch in Johannesburg.

Nine instalments tracing the life of Madiba, his family and close colleagues will eventually be released.

Mandela said the comic was aimed mainly at the youth and it was hoped it would lead them to reading good books.
