Club Hemisphere is well-known among Cape Town’s trendy socialites who still know how to shake it with style on the dance floor.
As the highest club in Cape Town, located on the 31st floor of the ABSA building in the CBD, it has become a regular cocktail and dance venue for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
On Friday 26 September the club re-launched its uber-trendy VIP lounge in conjunction with premium champagne brand Veuve Clicquot.
This exclusive section of the club is now known as the Veuve Clicquot VIP Lounge, and is able to accommodate 60 guests.
CapeTownMagazine.com was at the launch together with some of the well-known regulars and local celebrities.
While there have been no major furniture or structural changes, the new Veuve Clicquot VIP Lounge at Hemisphere boasts Veuve Clicquot glass walls and a collection of Veuve Clicquot cushions, turning an already classy area into something even more special.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Brian McKnight, Jamiroquai, Avril Lavigne and many other top internationally-recognised personalities have put in an appearance at Hemisphere, and with the revitalized Veuve Clicquot VIP Room now in operation, you shouldn’t be surprised if you rub shoulders here with some of the international celebrities visiting Cape Town.
Immaculately appointed restrooms, beautiful Italian marble floors, hand-crafted tiles, cork-covered pillars, plush imported fabrics and fibre-optic chandeliers are some of the features that make this club the desirable and distinctive venue that it is.
“We’re very excited about the launch of the Veuve Clicquot VIP Room, and as we move closer to 2010 we look forward to hosting more stylish people from Cape Town and abroad,” says co-owner Douglas Oberwortmann.
Molo Says: “Want to be on the guest list for the Veuve Clicquot VIP Room at Hemisphere on a Friday or Saturday night? Simply give Natasha a call on +27(0)21-421 0581 and convince her that you (and your friends) fit the bill, and you may just get lucky. “
Valet parking at the club continues to be offered at a very decent R15 per car, and, if you’ve had one too many of Hemisphere’s elegant cocktails, drivers are available for rides home at a charge of R9/km.
The usual entry fee to Hemisphere is R40 for the ladies, and R60 for gents.
