SAA is Best Airline in Africa
South African Airways has been named the best airline in Africa for the third consecutive year...
South African Airways has been named the best airline in Africa for the third consecutive year by the readers of US business travel publication, Global Traveler.

Over 13,000 readers participated in a survey consisting of 42 open-ended questions that ran in the magazine between February and August last year.

SAA will be recognised at an awards luncheon at the Jumeirah Essex House in New York City today.

"We're honoured to have been chosen as the Best Airline in Africa by Global Traveler for the past three years. These accolades are a testament to our commitment to offer our customers the absolute best service to Africa," said Marc Cavaliere, executive vice president of the Americas, South African Airways.

South African Airways offers the only non-stop service from the United States to South Africa with daily departures from Washington and New York. From May this year it will also offer four weekly direct flights from Chicago.
