This year’s theme for the 2007 MCQP told it all when it came out of the closet!

The theme for MCQP is Back to School: Matric Dance!

You’ll probably remember your teenage years: going to school, the big night of your Matric dance wearing that “what was I thinking” dress or suit. The awkward posing for photos in front of your parents with your date nervously holding you.

The fact that you know you have way too much make-up on but your mother insisted because you must always wear more make-up at night. The excitement or fear or dread. The hidden half jack of vodka in your pocket or evening bag.

You can bring all of this back to life at this year’s MCQP party in Cape Town!

MCQP has established itself as one of the top events in Cape Town’s social calendar. Year after year, as its fame spread, more and more people have been flocking to the party from ever more distant parts of the world, dressed up for the year’s theme.

MCQP is now in its 14th year and each year the main event is the mother of all costume parties.

This unique Capetonian event has people from all over the world flocking to Cape Town to attend this big night.

The MCQP festival takes place from the 15th till the 23rd of December 2007 and the venue will still be announced. The festival starts with a Pool Party, goes on to the Charity Dinner and ends with the 2007 Matric Dance main costume party.
