First 19 artists to perform at Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2008 announced at Cape Town International Convention Centre

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival is like a house with many rooms. Known as Africa’s Grandest Gathering, the festival which will be in its ninth year, brings together 40 Jazz and Jazz related groups.

CapeTownMagazine.com attended the media launch for the famous jazz festival at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, and is happy to share the line-up of the first 19 artists announced with you.

The performances at the Cape Town Jazz Festival on 28-29 March 2008 are -as always- the strength of the festival.

The Cape Town Jazz Festival traditionally kicks off with an open air "Free Community Concert" on Greenmarket Square.
