Light in Cape Town's Company Gardens after 350 years
Cape Town's Company's Gardens will be celebrating the installation of lights after 350 years
On the 12th of December 2007, Cape Town's Company's Gardens will be celebrating the installation of lights and security cameras in the Company's Garden after 350 years - a historical moment for Cape Town's oldest garden.

The Company's Gardens will also be extending their hours to 22h00 from 12 December 2007 to 31 January 2008, which means, that the general public attending the night market in Adderley Street or viewing the lights will be able to have picnics or walks in the Company Gardens.

This initiative was done to improve the safety of people using the Company Gardens as well as to promote the use of public space for public life.
