var i,x,a=document.MM_sr; for(i=0;a&&i A number of leases in the refurbished Fairweather House in Sir Lowry Road in vibrant Woodstock have been concluded through Pam Golding Commercial leasing and sales consultant Selwyn Sharon. To date the total capital value of these leases is R9 million, while further transactions are currently in the process of being finalised. Says Sharon: "Now recognised as an up and coming area of Cape Town - just minutes from the city centre, Woodstock is enjoying a resurgence of interest among commercial property users, including high profile advertising agency, Ogilvy Cape Town, who recently moved into the area. With the rejuvenation and redevelopment of Cape Town's central area, the increased residential component has soaked up the excess commercial properties, and now the revitalised Woodstock is ideally placed to capitalise on the demand for commercial space."
Among the new blue chip tenants of Fairweather House - which comprises three office floors and ground floor retail - is the new Goodman Gallery, which now occupies over 500sqm. Other tenants include Striker, who are in the media business and who have taken half of the top floor of the building and a mix of other creative type tenants.
Comments Sharon: "The Johannesburg-based Goodman Gallery is renowned in South Africa and of a world class standard. The fact that such an exclusive, upmarket gallery has launched its new Cape Town operation in Woodstock is extremely positive. Given that Cape Town is known for its art galleries, it's also a feather in the city's cap that it has attracted a gallery of the calibre of Goodman Gallery."
Sharon says while the retail space has been taken up, some office space is still available in Fairweather House, with fully air conditioned, A grade accommodation available at R55 per square metre. Secure parking is also available for both tenants and visitors to the building, and freeway access is within easy reach.

Molo says: "It's nice to see an art gallery opening in creative Woodstock. Art galleries in Cape Town are becoming more, but not neccesarily more known. We will come with a special about art galleries in Cape Town soon.
