Gold of Africa Museum's souvenir guide & newsletter win top awards
The Souvenir Guide and the Newsletter of the Gold of Africa Museum have both won prestigious, highly recommended awards.
The souvenir guide of the Gold of Africa Museum in Cape Town was awarded with the Award for Best Entry in the Publication Design Competition 2005, a competition run by the South African Museums Association.

Apart from the prestigious prize, Cape Town's Gold of Africa Museum won a Highly Commended award in the category of Education Resource Material for the booklet Gold of Africa: a history of Africa's gold for schools.

Last but not least, the Gold museum received a Highly Commended award for its newsletter Gold of Africa News, a collaborative effort between museum staff and designer, Gail Yule-Gerber.
