Events and Celebrations this Easter Weekend
From orchestra performances to trance & charity parties, from marathons to My Coke Fest 2008 this Easter in Cape Town
A great Easter it is….. which is why that sugar rush from eating too many Lindt Easter bunnies is so needed, to keep up with the celebrations and parties this Easter.

We created a short overview of things to do this Easter Weekend;

The underground Jack Mantis Band plays in Zula bar on Long Street on 19 March - a great start to the Easter long weekend!

Easter will start properly with the first Warehouse Project taking place on Thursday 20 March and promising to absolutely rock Cape Town.

Good Friday is also used by Balkanology to throw another legendary Balkanology party on Thursday 20 March.

Same Thursday Club Bambu is hosting a Thumping Charity Party "Assistance"; An excellent line-up of DJ's in Cape Town will be laying it down: DJ Shannon, Gren Forte, Dean FUEL, LilPhil, Mpumi "the mamba", Vanessa Holliday Proceeds of this great initiative will go to the UBUNTU Aids orphanage in Khayelitsha.

This Friday in the Company's Gardens, Cape Town Festival's Human Rights Day Concert will feature the Soweto Gospel Choir, a must see!

Also kicking off in the Easter Weekend is the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunsefees taking place in Grahamstown.

22 March marks the extreme runners taking on the elements in the Two Ocean Marathon, we gave you some hints on the best viewing spots and the lay- down on the adults and kiddies events.

An excellent event on Sunday in the Easter Weekend is to enjoy the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

The Easter weekend also brings you Vortex, the hard core old school trance vibe during the weekend of the 22nd – 24th of March.

Kenilworth Race Course is the place for teens and young adults to escape their parents on Family Day for the My Coke Fest 2008.

Happy Easter from CapeTownMagazine.com.
