One of the world's most celebrated bands is coming our way. Super-group LIVE will be returning to South Africa in October 2006, for their most extensive tour yet.
Beginning in Johannesburg on the 27th, they are then scheduled to perform in Durban on the 28th, Port Elizabeth on the 30th, and finally Cape Town on the 31st October.
Having just released their seventh album, "Songs From Black Mountain", �live' is definitely the best way to experience LIVE!
LIVE's illustrious career has seen the band make music together for more than half of their lives, sell over 20 million records and tour their way around the world, on the back of phenomenal global success.
Their debut album 'Mental Jewelry' was released in 1991, and it was three years later, that the album Throwing Copper' propelled the band into the rock mainstream.
'Throwing Copper' sold more than 12 million copies worldwide thanks to three number one hit singles: "Selling the Drama," "I Alone" and "Lightning Crashes."
The bands third album 'Secret Samadhi' featured the hit single "Lakini's Juice." In 1999 Live released ' The Distance To Here', followed by their highly successful, sold-out SA tour. Almost 80.000 fans attended.
The band released 'V' in 2001, soon followed by another successful album, 'Birds of Pray'. 'Awake - The Best of Live' was released in 2004.
'Songs From Black Mountain' contains the best elements of their earlier albums, an inspiring lyrical theme and contagious pop melodies.
