During the six week launch, from 14 January to 28 February 2006, the all-aluminum Jaguar XK sports cars were driven and showcased along the coastal road in between Cape Town and Somerset West and Stellenbosch.  

The Beach House on Sandown Bay, a 3 star Relais Hotel property in Cape Town, hosted approximately 650 international media for their 1-hour refreshment breaks along the route.

Jaguar had 26 scheduled refreshment breaks at The Beach House during the road show. The Western Cape was selected for the event due to the good roads and the beautiful coastal scenery.

Astrid Dressler, general manager of the Beach House, said: "It was an absolute pleasure and a real privilege to be a part of an international launch of this magnitude.  The publicity received for The Beach House was remarkable and the people from Jaguar were truly a pleasure to host."
