Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban Airports scoop three Awards
Well-deserved awards, particularly when considering double-digit passenger growth.
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) airports have scooped three major awards. Following an extensive evaluation of the African aviation industry, Johannesburg International Airport (JIA) has once again been chosen to receive the African Aviation Award for 'AFRICAN AIRPORT OF THE YEAR' for 2005.

This Award is in recognition of the continued achievements JIA made in several critical areas in 2005, including Airport Management, Airport Development, Strategic International Expansion and Financial Performance. The Award Ceremony took place during African Aviation's 15th Annual Conference, in Casablanca, Morocco last night. Chris Hlekane, JIA General Manager received the award on ACSA's behalf. JIA has won the award since 1999.

ACSA's airports have achieved two awards for excellent service in the regional categories. Cape Town International Airport received 2nd place in the Middle East/African regional rating and Durban International Airport achieved 3rd place. To date, ACSA's airports have achieved 11 awards in this global benchmarking programme since participation in 2002.

These are well-deserved awards, particularly when considering the fact that our airports are currently experiencing double-digit passenger growth.
