Cape Town International Jazz Festival 4th Best in the World
The Cape Town Jazz Festival has stormed up the ranks to number 4 in Melody Trip's ranking of best Jazz Festivals in the world

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival has been ranked number 30 out of the top 100 world wide festivals (encompassing all genre of music eg: Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae etc.) in Melody Trip's 2006 ranking of the world's top music festivals.

In the Jazz category, the festival ranked no 4 in the world, placing it ahead of the Stockholm Jazz Festival, Montreaux Jazz Festival and The North Sea Jazz Festival.

The survey considers many factors when comprising the Melody top 100 ranking. These include: The size of the festival; attendance figures; news coverage; past attendance; the artist line-up; the festival budget and revenue figures.
