Their previous televised adventure, Long Way Round, featured the two motorcycle enthusiasts embarking on an epic motorbike trip from London to New York, via Europe, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Canada and the United States.
On their current trip the duo, together with their road team comprising of executive producers Russ Malkin and David Alexanian, 3 cameramen and a medic, are traveling from Scotland to the southern most tip of Africa in Cape Town, South Africa.
Along the way, their BMW R1200GS Adventure bikes will clock up about 15, 000 miles and they will travel through 20 countries, including Scotland, England, France, Italy, Tunisa, Libya, Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, Rwanda, Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia and Cape Town, South Africa.
The television series based on their trip will be broadcast by the BBC in September 2007. You can also track the team's progress online by checking out their logs on a regular basis.
The guys have seen and done so much since they left John O'Groats, from being rained out in France to swimming in the Mediterranean, then crossing over to Africa by ferry and experiencing the varied cultures along the East coast of Africa.
Over the last few weeks alone, they've been through searing African heat, difficult border crossings, and challenging roads that have tested them as they headed down through Sudan and into Ethiopia - stopping at UNICEF sites along the way.
