A warm welcome to Hotel Lesedi - Gauteng's most exciting showcase of African Culture. As the sun sets over the African bush, GUESTS are escorted by the Cultural hosts of Lesedi for an experience of a lifetime and introduced to the art, dancing, history, tribal legend and cuisine of five of Southern Africa`s greatest tribes.
The cultural programme begins with a multi-visual presentation on the history and origins of today's rainbow nation, followed by a tour of four ethnic homesteads - Xhosa, Zulu, Pedi and Sotho. GUESTS are then escorted to the Boma for traditional singing and dancing and the people of Lesedi tell stories that date back to the days of their ancestors.
A traditional African-style feast is served in the restaurant, with a full bar close at hand. At the end of the evening, GUESTS can either gather around the open fire and talk late into the night, or be escorted back to their cosy rooms by members of their host family. |

| Situated on the R512 approximately 12 km north of Lanseria in peaceful bushveld surroundings, Hotel Lesedi offers the Monati or lunch experience, for which GUESTS arrive at 11h30, and the Boma evening experience, which begins at 16h30. Furthermore, there's the option to stay overnight in traditional Africa! |

Hotel Lesedi African Lodge offers 30 rooms, all with private bathrooms. 22 rooms are fitted with twin beds and 5 have triple bed capacity and 3 double beds. Each room has coffee- and tea-making facilities for your early morning beverage.
Those who are staying overnight will experience the hospitality of an African family in one of FIVE traditional villages. Settle into a comfortable GUEST room with en-suite bathroom and prepare for an unforgettable evening under African skies.
A full English breakfast is served in our restaurant and, if time permits, a shopping experience of a lifetime awaits guests in our vibrant, living Ndebele craft market and Curio shop with its decorative walls and courtyards before departing.

On arrival at Hotel Lesedi African Lodge in the late afternoon, GUESTS are welcomed and taken to their homestead where they will be staying. The head of the home then becomes their personal escort for the rest of their stay. Once settled in their comfortable GUEST huts, they will then get to know the many colorful and fascinating aspects of the cultures of the people of Lesedi.
GUESTS are invited to the Ndebele village where an additional welcome by all the people of Lesedi, takes place. The cultural program begins with a multi-visual presentation on the history and origins of today's rainbow nation. This is followed by a guided tour of the four ethnic homesteads - Zulu, Basotho, Xhosa and Pedi. |
| As the sun sets over the African bush, guests are escorted to the Boma for traditional singing and dancing (a very participative affair!!) depicting stories that date back to the days of their ancestors. The GUESTS are then treated to a Pan African Buffet in the Nyama Choma Restaurant.
After dinner, GUESTS are invited to gather round the fire outside the bar for a cultural surprise. This entertainment starts off with some "Mamba Juice", a unique Lesedi potion accompanied by Storytelling, Participative Singing and Dancing, or simply an opportunity to gather more information regarding the myths and traditions of the people of South Africa. |

| Cultural Experience |

Hotel Lesedi African Lodge offers two unique day experiences where GUESTS can share the excitement and warmth of true rural African culture.
The morning program at 11H30 is known as the Monati experience and the late afternoon program at 16H30 is known as the Boma experience. Both experiences follow the following program:

Browse in our Ndebele village and African craft market where Ndebele murals decorate the walls and courtyard |
| Attend a multi-visual theatre presentation on the history and origin of our peoples |
GUESTS are divided into smaller groups and taken on a guided tour of four homesteads - Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho and Pedi |
| After a few drinks in the bar, GUESTS and the families meet back in the Boma for traditional song and dance of all the villages. The dance culminates in communal dancing with the GUESTS around the fire |
| A Pan African Feast is served in the Nyama Choma restaurant with delicacies from North, East and Southern Africa |

| Although the above experience is a set program, we would be more than happy to accommodate our groups should they require this to be tailored. All the above items are available collectively, combined according to your needs or as a program on their own. In other words, should you require a meal only, this can be arranged, or should you require a dance performance and a meal, this can be arranged. |
