The 14 one and two bedroom apartments of The Court Chambers boast spectacular views across Cape Town's legal district, Company Garden's and beyond to Table Mountain. The apartments are situated on the second to eleventh floors and range from approximately 67 sq m to 201 sq m in size.
Within the cool confines of Court Chambers, guests make themselves at home amongst finishes and furniture which are soft and feminine, yet with a strong graphic presence.
Simple, bold styling is offset by the tactile nature of suede, sandblasted glass and marble. Tones of cream, ivory, camel, taupe and chocolate, together with rich, textured fabrics and soft throws, provide an atmosphere of warmth and comfort.
Fairbairn
With 16 styles of gracious apartments situated on the first to eighth floors, The Fairbairn building comprises of 17 one and two bedroom apartments. Each apartment varies in size from approximately 73 sq m to 170 sq m and has at least one secure parking bay.
The Fairbairn is one of the best examples of Cape Town's many Art Deco buildings.
True to this movement of the 1920s and '30s, The Fairbairn makes the most of geometric shapes and abstract graphics. Finishes include black and white floor tiles and carpets with a clear geometric order. Furniture is crisp and linear, softened for comfort and style and presenting the guest with a classic, yet modern ambience that is at once luxurious and appreciative of fine design.
Kendall
The Kendall Building presents 8 unique one and two bedroom apartments of varying sizes, ranging from approximately 91 sq m to 138 sq m. With views across the vibrant St. George's Mall and the Cathedral, apartments are located on the third to seventh floors. Each apartment has a dedicated and secure parking bay.
The Kendall dates from 1927, and is rich in atmosphere and detail, providing its guests with traditional luxurious living spaces. Finishes include timber flooring and inlaid stone or tile detail. Rugs warm the floors and walls are rich in colour between fully draped windows.
Moulded skirtings, cornices, architraves and panels recall an era of care and craftsmanship. Furniture is inspired by French-Provincial tradition, but interpreted in contemporary style.
Tower
A landmark destination at the heart of 'The Old Town', The Tower accommodates 20 two bedroom apartments and 2 three bedroom penthouses. Each of the six layouts over the 11 floors offers different, yet equally breathtaking views. Apartments are generously proportioned and each has two dedicated, secure parking bays. Apartments range between 108 sq m and 145 sq m.
Hi-tech and contemporary, The Tower is a symphony of reinforced concrete, glass and steel fins. Interiors include timber flooring in the living areas, luxurious carpets in the bedrooms and tiling in the bathrooms.
Walls and floors are earth-toned. Kitchen counters of snow-white stone contrast with dark cupboarding. Lines and surfaces are clean, giving a sleek, chic look. The ultimate effect is highly modern, yet the mood is quiet and refreshing.
Winery
Situated above the only inner-city winery, with views of Church Street, this contemporary building offers 7 studio apartments on the third to sixth floors.
Each of the two design layouts totals an area of approximately 52 sq m. All studios are provisioned with a secure parking bay.
The Winery is where California, Sydney and Cape Town converge in a natural and organic blend of textures, colours and unexpected contrasts. Finishes include rough sandstone and stainless steel, linen and glass, industrial timber and polished wooden floors.
Colours are natural – black, creams, faded whites, stone, sandstone and tobacco shades with a dash of wine poured in.
