General Info
We take a maximum of 20 people and this gives us the time to take extra special care of our guests. If you have any particular dietary problem, be sure to let us know, so we can ensure the meals are just right for you. If there is anything else you need, please ask, we'll do our best to arrange it.
Remember that private meals can be organised for honeymooners or for special events.

Idube is also a great place to entertain for business, to run small conferences, or to have a wedding with a difference. For bigger groups, Idube can easily arrange to combine with other lodges nearby, with joint dinners for the group at special venues.

Wildlife

The animals include the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) and over 300 species of birds.
Weather
Rainfall is generally in the Summer months from October to March, with average mean temperatures ranging from 19 degrees C to 35 degrees C ( 66- 95F). Weather is normally warm to hot during the day, with warm evenings. At times it can be cool, particularly during rainy spells. Winter months are generally pleasantly warm during the day, but the temperature drops in the evening, with average mean temperatures from 10 degrees C to 26 degrees C ( 50-79F). Idube is situated 400m (1310 feet) above sea level.

What To Bring
Light weight clothing in dull colours, light sweater and heavier, warmer jacket. Swimming costume, sun protection creams. Dress is completely informal. Medical necessities, including anti-malaria medication. Camera, binoculars, sunglasses, hat, film. (Idube does stock hats, assorted clothing and shoes, as well as some film for cameras.)
Special Precautions
Mpumalanga Accommodation,South Africa Accommodation,Sabi Sand Accommodation As we are in a malaria risk area, guests have anti-mosquito units plugged into their rooms, and we suggest that they remain on during the night. We have screens on the windows and entrance door, and insect repellent is provided. We strongly advise guests to consult their doctors before visiting any malaria risk area. Guests sometimes forget the strength of the African sun, so please make sure that you wear sunscreen and hats, and make sure that you don't lie outside in the sun too long

RATE INCLUDES
Luxury accommodation in en-suite, air-conditioned chalets, 3 full meals daily, all teas and coffees, afternoon tea, 2 safari drives (± 3 hours each) daily in open landrovers and a bush walk for guests staying 2 nights or more. Game activities with skilled and well-trained rangers. Arrivals from 12:00 but no later than 15:00. Departures after breakfast at 10:30.

RATE EXCLUDES
Bar bill, soft drinks, telephone and fax calls, bed levy of R5.70 per person per night, curios, gratuities and items of a personal nature as well as R60 per vehicle entrance fee to the Sabi Sand Wildtuin for self-drivers.

TRANSFER RATES
Transfers can be arranged from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) to the Lodge. The cost is R350.00 per person one way and the journey takes approximately an hour and a half through the beautiful Mpumalanga area. Direct flights to the Sabi Sand can be booked through our office. Flights depart from Johannesburg International Airport on a daily basis. The plane used is a Cessna Caravan and the flight lasts one and a half hours. The cost of the flight is R3000.00 per person return.

GUIDES/TOURLEADERS/PILOTS
Please take note: The rate is R600 per night nett and accommodation will be reserved in the pilot’s room unless alternative arrangements are made prior to arrival at the lodge.The single room is adjacent to our staff quarters with its own shower and amenities. If 18 or more guests in camp then guide/tourleader/ pilot will not be able to partake in game drives.

DEPOSIT AND PRE-PAYMENT for less than 4 persons
Full prepayment on confirmation of booking by credit cards, electronic transfers or direct deposits.

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS for less than 4 persons
- Please inquire about bigger groups.
Cancellation must be in writing and must be more than 4 weeks prior to arrival in order to receive full refund, less 10% handling fee. Cancellations 4 weeks prior to arrival will be refunded less 25%. Cancellations less than 4 weeks prior to arrival will not be due for any refund and full payment for the booking, if not received, will be due and payable.
