Terrace Suite
Eighteen
suites are dotted around the estate, some set in the vineyards, all
with thatched roofs and shutters in keeping with the architectural
character. Trailing vines overhang private terraces that have
spectacular views of the vineyards and valleys surrounding the hotel.

Duplex Suite
The
slave quarters of the old farm have been transformed into five luxury
duplex suites with exotic names from the Dutch colonial past – Java,
Jasmijn, Batavia, Malabaar and Koljanner. These are also familysuites,
as up to 2 extra beds may be made up in the lounge area for the kids.

Junior Duplex Suite
The
historic wine cellar now houses five Junior duplex suites with
characterful features such as thatched roofs, bamboo and yellowwood
ceilings. Named after former grape varieties grown on the farm –
Hermitage, Semillon, Muscadel, Hanepoot and Alphonse Lavalle - one of
the suites still has the old window that was big enough for rolling
barrels in and out of the cellar – and the outline of the remains of a
large vat are visible in the passage. Suitable for single occupation or
double-occupant patron for short stays. Five Junior Duplex Suites
(1 with Shower only/no Bath) Bedroom, Lounge. Queensize beds only.

Standard Room
Five
standard rooms with individual features are situated in the charmingly
restored coach house and stables of the estate. Each has a garden
terrace with a magnificent view of the Drakenstein Mountains. Two of
these rooms have been equipped for the comfort of disabled guests.

Individual Reservations
should be confirmed within 21 days with payment of a deposit of 50% of
total stay, or at a discount of 10% should full payment be made within
7 days after reservation confirmation. Reservations are guaranteed on
receipt of full payment (bank draft in South African Rands) at least 45
days in advance of arrival.
No charge will be levied if the reservation is cancelled 45 days before
date of arrival, where after full cancellation fees are applicable.
Group Reservations.
Provisional reservations for 5 rooms/suites or more will be held by the
hotel for a period of 21 days only, where after a deposit of 50% of the
full accommodation amount is payable to confirm the reservation, and
full payment is required 60 days in advance to guarantee the
reservation. No charge will be levied if the reservation is cancelled
60 days before date of arrival; where after full cancellation fees are
applicable. Tour Leader/ Driver/ Guide – for 10 to 17 rooms booked, one
room will be charged at 50% of rate quoted. For 18 rooms or more, one
room will be complimentary.
In
general a minimum stay of 2 nights is recommended, but between 23
December and 9 January a minimum stay of 5 nights is required, with a
50% deposit of total length of stay payable within 21 days after making
the reservation, or the reservation will automatically be cancelled.
Guests whose stay includes the 24th and 31st December are obliged to
include the Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve dinners in their stay and
these dinners are pre-payable together with their accommodation.
Guests with disabilities can be accommodated in a specially equipped room near gentle walkways.
Families:
The hotel is unable to accommodate more than 2 adults per suite, but in
addition, up to 2 children, (between 4-15 years of age), can be
accommodated on roll-away beds in our Duplex suites, at an extra charge
of R475 per child, including breakfast. Please note that our pools are not enclosed – Adult supervision required.
• Double or twin beds are available; kindly state your preference when making your reservation.
• We regret no pets allowed.
• Rooms/Suites are normally ready for occupation by 15:00. Guests are
kindly requested to vacate their suite/room by 11:00
