Happy Hour at Tommy’s Sports Bar
One hour a day for a week … sound good?
Cape Town boasts many great bars where you can chill out, meet up with friends and listen to live music while treating yourself to food that's tasty down to the very last bite.
Rafiki's Bar & Restaurant in Tamboerskloof is one of them - one of those lazy laid-back spots where everyone seems to be free of worries and have all the time in the world. This has what's made it a true favourite among Cape Town locals and visitors alike.
The atmosphere at Rafiki’s is always a chilled (and often quite upbeat!) one, with people from diverse walks of life all coming together to have a good time at one of Cape Town’s most famous hang-outs. Don't be surprised if you find bankers and rastas sitting back-to-back!
Depending on the night of the week, at Rafiki’s you can watch a live game of soccer, party or just take it easy and sip on a few cocktails.
Gaze out over Lion's Head from your spot on the 40-metre sun-kissed balcony while the easygoing and attentive staff from South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Israel see to it that you have what you need... such as a lip-smacking meal!
The food menu at Rafiki's is a perfect balance between snack foods and wholesome main meals. Rafiki's is famous for their great pizzas (try the Afghan Surprise or the Mother Clucker!) and their chili poppers and prawns are always in high demand.
Soccer fans are in heaven when they come to watch games at Rafiki's: there are no fewer than six big-screen TVs positioned throughout Rafiki's, and they show all the major games. The atmosphere is always festive, and apart from actually being at the game, this is the best way to watch the game! This will be a great spot to watch 2010 World Cup games in Cape Town .
Like pizza? Like beer? Then you'll certainly like the pizza at Rafiki's. After the World Cup 2010, the pizza will be half price for all local card holders (except Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).
