The Opal Lounge restaurant's daring claim to fame is to announce itself as "Cape Town's most beautiful restaurant"
You might remember it as Manolo, but now the iconic restaurant on Kloof Street has a completely new identity and charisma.
CapeTownMagazine.com loves introducing you to the best restaurants in Cape Town, so it is with pleasure that we introduce you to the Opal Lounge restaurant, which intends to compete with the very best of the best to lay claim to the title of Cape Town's most stylish and beautiful restaurant.
At the Opal Lounge restaurant, beauty is the essence of everything you experience. Beauty above you, beauty around you, and beauty on each plate they present to you.
Enormous amounts of passion have gone into the restyling of the fabulous Victorian house you will remember from Manolo days. Don't take their word for it though - go and experience it for yourself.
The restaurant is situated in the lower end of Kloof Street (on the right-hand side) between City Varsity and the KwikSpar. Simply drive up Long Street into Kloof Street, and turn into the lane alongside the restaurant to gain access to the parking area at the rear, where plenty of free parking is available.
The Opal Lounge Restaurant will soon be opening for lunch as well as fabulous Sunday morning brunches on the deck, complete with live jazz. The restaurant will be open for Christmas lunch and and New Year's Eve dinners, so act now if you want to experience either of these two special occassions at the Opal Lounge Restaurant.
