Historic family tradition of wine making in Stellenbosch


Ten generations after the arrival of Jacques Malan in 1688, brothers Pieter, Francois and Johan Malan continue with a proud family tradition. As the owners of Simonsig in Stellenbosch they produce some of South Africa's finest wines.

Experience Simonsig's award winning Kaapse Vonkel: The first Methode Champenoise wine ever produced in South Africa (in 1971).

Enjoy a wine tasting of acclaimed wines at the Visitors Centre and witness a 'sabrage' on a free tour of Simonsig's cellars.
