Follow Nelson 'Madiba' Mandela's very first steps towards freedom

The "Mandela House" at the Drakenstein Prison was the place where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated during apartheid, just before he was set free


The "Madiba House" at the Drakenstein (Victor Verster) Prison was the place where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated before he was released. It will be developed as a National Heritage Site, to preserve this part of South Africa's heritage. Nowadays it has become a place of reflection and contemplation.
