Family Day (Public Holiday)

Use Family Day in Cape Town to simply relax or enjoy some great outdoor activities

In South Africa the public holiday Family Day used to be known as Easter Monday, but the name was changed to reflect and show respect to the different religious traditions of the entire South African population.

It’s a great public holiday to spend with your friends and family, taking walks up Table Mountain, a stroll in the Kirstenbosch Gardens or lazing in the sun on one of Cape Town's stunning beaches.
